Courses We Offer

Basic Level CPR/AED and First Aid

–> Our basic level classes are certified through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), and offer a 2 year certification.

–> CPR/AED and First Aid courses provide workplace and community training in performing CPR and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). The goal of this skills-based training is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond in a medical emergency.

–> You must register for CPR/AED separately from the First Aid Course.

–> Classes are scheduled regularly; usually the first and third Saturday of the month. Pre-registration is required. Please see our current program guide or call our Member Service Desk for dates.

Child and Baby-Sitting Safety (CABS)

–> Provides training in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic care-giving skills, and responding properly to ill or injured children and infants. This certification is offered through the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

–> Must be 11 years of age to participate. Participants should bring a lunch to class. Course materials are included.

–> There is an option of adding a CPR/First Aid Module to the class for an additional fee.

–> Pre-registration is required. Please see our current program guide or call our Member Service Desk for dates.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Courses

–> The purpose of the Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. Successful completion results in a 2 year certification in Lifeguard skills, CPR/AED for Lifeguards, and First Aid for Lifeguards.

–> You must be at least 15 years of age by course completion to participate in the Basic Level Course. To participate in review courses, you must have a current or recently expired certificate to participate.
