Youth: General Facility Use
• Youth ages 9 and under must have direct adult supervision at all times, except when a child is
participating in a YMCA program. Child care is available for kids ages 4 months-9 years.
• Youth ages 10-15 are not required to be accompanied by a supervising adult, but are subject to
the age restrictions for specifi c areas outlined below.
Wellness Center Guidelines:
• We ask all adult Y members (ages 16+) go through a wellness center orientation before use.
• Youth Y Members (ages 12-15) must go through a complete teen fit orientation and have
• Parent/Physicians Clearance Form on file before using the Wellness Center.
Day Pass Users:
• Ages 16+ welcome to use the Wellness Center anytime.
• Youth ages 16-17 must check-in at the Wellness Center desk.
• Youth day pass users ages 15 and under are not eligible to use the Wellness Center.
Aquatics Guidelines:
1. Youth ages 6 and younger must be accompanied directly by a supervising adult in the water.
2. Youth ages 7 and older may use the pool independently.
3. Swimmers under the age of 6 may not use the whirlpool. Ages 6-15 must have adult supervision while using the whirlpool.
4. Swimmers are to wear swim suits. Street clothing is not allowed.
5. All youth are subject to swim testing and applicable restrictions based on swimming ability
which may include an adult accompanying the child in the water.
3rd Floor Track & Group Exercise Guidelines:
Group Exercise /Personal Fitness Area:
1. Ages 12 and older are welcome to participate in group exercise classes or personal fi tness.
2. The group exercise area & equipment is designated for group exercise classes & personal fitness only. No horseplay please.
Track:
1. Direction: odd days of the month (clockwise) / even days of the month (counterclockwise).
2. Fast runners should stay to the outside of the track. Slow runners and walkers on the inside.
3. People using the track must be running or walking. No loitering.
4. Youth ages 12 and older may use the track unsupervised. Children ages 11 and under may
use the track area when directly accompanied by a supervising adult.
5. Strollers and wheel chairs: wheels must be wiped clean and used in the inside lane.
Gymnasium Guidelines:
1. Youth ages 10 and older may use the gymnasium independently. Youth ages 9 and under must
be directly supervised by an adult or participating in a YMCA program.
2. Proper gym clothes and athletic shoes that do not mark the fl oor must always be worn.
3. All members and guests will be expected to conduct themselves in a proper manner at all
times.
4. Inappropriate language is not permitted. Violators of the rules and regulations will forfeit
their usage privileges.
5. Please follow the schedule at all times. Schedules will be posted in the gym and are available
at the Member Service Desk and on our website.
Racquetball, Handball & Squash Guidelines:
1. Youth ages 10 and older may use the courts independently. Youth ages 9 and under must be
directly supervised by an adult or participating in a YMCA program.
2. Protective eyewear is strongly recommended.
3. Athletic shoes that do not mark the floor must always be worn.
Locker Room Policies:
1. Locker Room Types:
- Adult Male and Adult Female Locker Rooms: For adults only age 18+. Youth under the age
of 18 are not allowed in this locker room at any time. Located on the main level.
- Youth/All Ages Male & Female Locker Rooms: For general use for all ages. All children 5
and older must change in their gender specific locker room OR parents may bring their
children into the family/adaptive locker rooms. Located on the pool level.
- Family/Adaptive Locker Rooms: Six individual locker rooms consisting of a toilet, sink &
shower. These rooms are reserved for people who need an accessible locker room and
parents with opposite gender children ages 5+. Located on the pool level.
2. Lock your locker at all times. Bring your own lock or we sometimes have locks available for sale at the Member Service Desk.
3. Please do not leave items in day use lockers overnight. Items will be put into lost & found.
4. Please do not leave items on top of lockers or hanging on the outside of your kit locker.
