Out-of-School-Time Programs

What your kids do AFTER school is as important as what they do AT school. Our daily curriculum makes us a unique child care provider and sets us apart from others. We provide a mentoring relationship between your child and our caring staff that maximizes their personal empowerment, exploration and learning.

Paramount to our program

·        Consistent and caring relationships between young people and adults, and between young people and their peers

·        Constructive well-planned schedules/activities that are tailored to the youth

·        Sufficient and clean space

·        Strong partnerships with young people, families, schools, and our community

·        Committed and well-trained staff and volunteers

·        Our staff is dedicated to the healthy growth and development of children and all work very hard to make each of our program sites full of fun and learning

Program Goals:

·        Increased academic achievement

·        Increase students’ life skills through enrichment activities

·        Improve and maintain school attendance.

Key Components in our OST Programs include:

Academic Support
With our extra help, children develop a love of reading and math while building literacy and academic involvement.  We offer tutoring that supports what is being taught in the classroom and identify academic goals for individual students.

Creative Arts
Drama, music, art, crafts, story writing and community service projects promote self-expression and a greater sense of imagination and creativity.

Character Development and Leadership
We incorporate the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility into playing with friends, learning, and other social activities.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Designing, constructing, testing, analyzing and rebuilding with recycled materials, legos, Knex, straws, and many other materials taps into creative minds of the youth in our programs.

Health & Wellness
We work closely with YMCA staff to get children involved in many physical activities, centered around health and wellness, including non-competitive gym games and swimming.

Service Learning

Students have the opportunity to participate in service learning projects around our community that make a difference.
