Cycle Camp 2020

Build your speed, power, and endurance during the indoor season with Cycle Camp at the Y. Jen Martinsen is back managing the crew with IMPROVED TESTING, NEW WORKOUTS, and an INCREASED OVERALL EXPERIENCE for all involved.

Cycle Camp meets twice weekly: once for a short ride (focused on pedal cadence and power) and once for a long endurance ride. All workouts are individualized for you based on initial testing benchmarks. The program is broken down into two sequential sessions, allowing for scheduling flexibility and a tailored approach to your training. Ride inside during the coldest months of the year and build your base for the upcoming outdoor season!

Women on weights is a progressive program that follows a 6 week plan designed for women who want to become comfortable with weight lifting, and become stronger and more confident. This class is led by certified personal trainer, Caro Shull.

TRX GROUP SUSPENSION: TRX Group Suspension is a 6 week progressive group training program that will push you to new levels of strength using the TRX Suspension Trainer and your own body weight. Throughout the six weeks, exercises and workouts will become more advanced as you continue to build strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability. TRX Group Suspension is for all ability levels* and will help you to move better, feel better, and live better.

TRX BASICS: TRX Basics will teach the basic skills needed to effectively and safely use the TRX Suspension Trainer. During this 6-week session you will learn proper set up, basic TRX exercises as well as ways to increase or decrease the intensity of each move.

Sports Prep Strength and Conditioning is a progressive strength and conditioning program designed for 13-17 years old athletes looking to get the edge over the competition in their chosen sport. This program will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy. Athletes will meet with a certified personal trainer, Brad Anderson, two times per week for hour-long workouts focused on teaching proper mechanics, recovery, movement, and flexibility. We aim to create an all-around athlete that will excel at any sport or physical task that is thrown their way.

Y-FIT Small Group Training is a progressive workout program customized to fit each participant’s individual needs and designed to create results for all! Experience the benefits of working with a certified personal trainer, while enjoying the fun and community of a group. Y-FIT Small Group Training participants will meet with their trainer two times per week for hour-long workouts focused on muscular strength and endurance, metabolic conditioning, and functional movement. The program includes both pre and post-assessments to ensure progress is tracked and results are achieved!

Whether you're wanting to become a runner, a brand new runner, or an expert runner just looking for a place to belong, you'll find your crew with this 8 Week training group! Trainer Jeff Cottrell will help you set and reach your goals. Runners are encouraged to work toward a 5K that we will help you pick, but we're welcoming all runners no matter the stage you're at!

Trainer Jeff Cottrell will help you safely and effectively train for your marathon whether this is your first or if you've already got several races under your belt. The half and full matation training roup is 23 weeks long.
