Why Give to the Y

The Duluth Area Family YMCA is an essential, charitable organization dedicated to strengthening our community through programs that nurture the potential of children, promote individual health and well-being, and give back to provide support for our neighbors. Your participation with the YMCA will bring meaningful change not just within yourself but to others in our community.

Your Gifts in Action

Every day and in every way, we seek to provide transformation experiences and your support makes that all the more possible.

Each year, the Duluth Area Family YMCA provides more than $450,000 in scholarships and community programs to families and individuals in our region. Our Annual Community Support Campaign ensures that everyone in the community has access to vital programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Monthly Giving

We want you to give to the Y in the way that makes the most sense to you and is the most convenient to your giving needs. Monthly giving allows you to budget your donation and allows us to better plan our programs and services more effectively.

  • Your monthly gift keeps our community support active.  Your monthly gift ensures we can respond to needs immediately, with an invested group of donors dedicated to meeting our communities' most pressing needs.
  • Your monthly gift provides predictable revenue.  Much like your membership at the Y, monthly giving supports the mission work of the Y and helps us avoid peaks and valleys of donations, ensuring we can spend more time on strategic planning, training, and serving our community and less time on fundraising.
  • Simply put, your monthly gift sustains our mission-driven work.  You will be supporting the day to day work of our mission and demonstrates a lasting investment in our mission.

Ready to make it monthly?  When making a gift online, enter the amount you want to give each month and then select MONTHLY for___months radial button. When starting your pledge mid-year, please select the remaining number of months in this calendar year of giving. Monthly Gifts are considered ongoing and will renew each year until you direct us to stop your giving schedule.
Upon receipt of your pledge, we will contact you to confirm your giving and area of designation. Please contact us if you have any questions at

Corporate Giving

The Y’s donor-supported scholarships and community programs are essential to ensuring continued access and opportunities for all at the Duluth Area Family YMCA. This community outreach would not be possible without the support of our major donors.
Annual donations of $1,000 receive banner recognition within one facility and those giving $2,500 receive a banner in two locations; all donations over $5,000 receive a prominent Champion Banner.  All donor banners are displayed in your Y until the following year’s campaign. These major donors also receive acknowledgment on our website, social media, and the invitation to participate in key events. Please view our CORPORATE GIVING OPPORTUNITIES brochure to review our complete benefit package.
