Gary-New Duluth Recreation (GND Rec) Center is located at 801 101st Avenue W., Duluth, MN 55805. Through the work of the Gary-New Duluth Development Alliance, Stowe Elementary School, and the Duluth Area Family YMCA, families of the Gary-New Duluth community and other west Duluth neighborhoods have the opportunity to engage in programming that helps all participants learn, grow, and thrive. The Duluth Area Family YMCA focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility with the mission to empower all to build health and wellness in spirit, mind, and body. Thank you for the continued support to our youth program from the City of Duluth - Parks & Recreation department.

Program is open to youth ages 5-15.

WHEN

School Year Programming: Monday through Thursday from 2:15 - 4:30 p.m. 

Summer Programming: Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Families must fill out a registration form on the first day of attendance with the program to participate.

Program Information

The Duluth YMCA hosts free youth programming at the Gary New Duluth Rec. Food Access

Meals will be provided to all without charge to youth under the age of 18. The Y serves healthy meals for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Meals are provided on a first come, first served. This institution is an equal opportunity provider. Meals are provided by the Child and Adult Care Food Program and other funders.

During the school year, a snack is served at 2:30 p.m. and during the summer at 3:30 p.m. when the youth program is in session. During the summer, a free lunch is served at Stowe Elementary School by ISD 709.
