K.E.Y. Zone (Knowledge, Enrichment, and Youth Development) is a collaborative program of the Duluth Y and ISD 709 Community Education. The locations of these high quality programs are at all 9 Duluth Public Elementary Schools, which provides services for grades K-5 year round including summer and school breaks.
School Year Program: Begins September 21st
Program is open to students attending a Duluth Public Elementary School during the day.
Program is open Monday through Friday from 2:15pm to 6:00pm.
Program locations include Congdon Park, Homecroft, Lakewood, Laura MacArthur, Lester Park, Lowell, Myers-Wilkins, Piedmont, and Stowe Elementary School.
A typical day at K.E.Y. Zone includes snack, physical fitness, homework help, brain time, club, enrichment opportunities, and choice time.
Program will be open on non-school days at select sites from 6:30am - 6:00pm.
Program registration for fall will open in April, 2020. Site Coordinators will send out specific dates and times for your school.

Tier 1 Care: Begins September 8th
Program is open to students, ages 4 through 12, of Tier 1 families. They must already be enrolled in ISD 709.
Program is open on scheduled distance learning days from 7:00am to 7:45am and 2:15pm to 5:30pm.
Program locations include Ordean East and Lincoln Park Middle School. See below for details.
Students attending Lakewood, Lester Park, Congdon or Homecroft Elementary School will go to Ordean East Middle School.
Students attending Lowell, Piedmont, Laura MacArthur, Stowe or Myers-Wilkins Elementary School will go to Lincoln Park Middle School.
Program will be closed on non-school days. Students will have the option to attend the traditional KEY Zone programs on these days.

Summer program is open to any students in the Duluth Area who have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Summer program is open from June 15th until August 28th, Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 6:00pm. It will be closed on July 3rd for the holiday.
Summer program locations include Lowell, Lester Park, and Laura MacArthur Elementary School, and Ordean East Middle School.
A typical day at K.E.Y. Zone includes group games, gym time, service learning, field trips, arts and crafts, outdoor activites, and choice time.
K.E.Y. Zone Outdoors will be at each site once per week, where they will teach about shelter building, geocaching, the plants and animals, and more!
